Massive X, on the other hand, we’re going to be denied for a couple more months. Kontakt 5 has been around so long now that it’s almost embarrassing and so the long overdue version 6 is very welcome indeed. These are the two that really elevate this upgrade above what the last few have been. The two big releases are Massive X and Kontakt 6. So the key to investing in the upgrade is whether there’s enough new stuff to justify the cost. One the one hand there’s new stuff, but on the other the majority is made up with products (if you are an existing owner) that you already have. The Komplete concept has a bittersweet edge to it.
